Sports Performance

In every sport athletes train to improve performance, enjoy competition, and ultimately to win. In the United States this training is typically dominated by sports skills training. The most successful athletes have long recognized that maximum performance can only be achieved through a continuous commitment to BIOMETRIC FOUNDATION TRAINING (speed, agility, quickness, strength, power, flexibility, aerobic & anaerobic endurance, coordination and balance) based on up-to-the-minute, cutting-edge research in the Performance Sciences.

This is why some of the most successful teams and individual athletes across the Delaware Valley train at TopSpeed Sport Performance Center. With over 24 years of experience, TopSpeed has successfully trained over 8,000 elementary school, middle school, high school, college, Olympic and professional athletes participating in more than 28 sports from over 200 schools. No other company has more education, experience or know-how,- period!

TopSpeed Staff include former U.S. Olympic Training Center Strength & Conditioning Professionals, former Professional Sports Team Strength & Conditioning Coaches, former & current College Coaches & Athletes, an MS Physical Therapist and a PhD Exercise Physiologist.

At the heart of the TopSpeed program is the ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE PYRAMID

This ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE PYRAMID illustrates the need for every athlete to develop and maintain a solid base of BIOMETRIC skills in order to become athletically successful. “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard!”

The TopSpeed Sport Performance Center utilizes a 5-step process to achieve each athlete’s individual goals:

STEP 1 ………………… TESTING and ASSESSMENT

STEP 2 ………………… BIOMETRIC ABILITIES PROFILE

STEP 3 ………………… PROGRAM PRESCRIPTION

STEP 4 ………………… TRAINING & INSTRUCTION

STEP 5 ………………… RE-TESTING

After comprehensive testing, a customized biometric profile is generated for each athlete identifying areas in need of improvement. This profile allows athlete’s to truly understand which components of performance are barriers to reach their individual potential and more efficiently prioritize & schedule training in order to maximizes athletic performance. An evaluation also allows staff to identify at which skill/age level athletes should train (Junior, Premiere, Elite or Collegiate).
